What Makes Five & Two Different?

We take pride in home-raising quality puppies. Each and every puppy gets all the care and love that it needs. We have years of experience in breeding and we breed for the true standard of the breed. We always breed for quality and never quantity.

We do not have a traditional kennel, so none of our puppies are what we would call kennel raised. All of our dogs live inside our home. We work from home so we are with them 24/7. We are very proud Frenchie Parents! Our expecting moms and new moms also have their own private area away from the other dogs to make them more comfortable.

We feed our pups high quality food with salmon oil. We only give them all natural chews and treats. We bake them home-made treats too!

All of our parents are up to date on all shots. They are heartworm tested yearly and vet checked. They are given heartworm and flea prevention monthly.

We treat customers the way that we would want to be treated, especially when it comes to purchasing a puppy. They are not just a dog. They are going to be a new member of your family! During our searches for a puppy, we found it very difficult to find a breeder who would allow us to come to their home to see where the puppies grew up and what condition the parents lived in. This is why we have made sure that our home and our babies are completely safe and you are more than welcome to come to our home!

When you buy a puppy from us you instantly become part of our Frenchie family. We will be here for you anytime you need us. We love to get emails with stories and updated pictures of our past clowns. We miss them so much when they leave, so receiving email and text updates just melts our hearts!

Note: This was our dog room setup at our old house. We have since moved to Knoxville and are still working on enclosing a room just for our dogs and puppies just like you see here.

Our Puppies

Health comes first with our puppies. All puppies will come with their age-appropriate puppy shots and will also be dewormed and bordetella vaccinated. They are also microchipped to provide more protection. Our puppies are healthy and have been vet checked. You will also receive a 72-hour viral and 1-year congenital written health guarantee.

Our puppies go home to you socialized and pre-spoiled. We do not let our puppies touch grass until they are 9 weeks old and have had their second vaccination to protect them from viruses.

Our purebred puppies are both AKC & CKC registered. Each puppy will come with a puppy folder that includes: AKC and/or CKC Registration Papers, Health & Shot Record, Health Guarantee, Microchip Registration papers, and other general informational paperwork.

Each puppy also comes with a puppy care kit that includes: Puppy Blanket, Food & Water Bowl, Toys, Small Bag of Food, Treats, and Puppy Pads, and more!

The phrase "you get what you pay for" has never been more true than with French Bulldogs. Our French Bulldog Puppies are worth every penny. We do our best to guarantee a beautiful and healthy puppy that will bring your family so much joy. We put our personal time and money into our Frenchies and all of our hard work shows in our puppies and your experience with us.

What is "5 & 2"?

Upon establishing Five & Two, we knew we wanted to incorporate our faith into our business in some way. That is where the Five & Two name comes from. In the story of Jesus feeding the crowd of 5,000 people, He took a small offering and multiplied it into an unimaginable feast for everyone. We like to relate this to our goal and mission at Five & Two.

We want to take something simple--the prospect of a puppy joining a family-- and hope to change lives with it. As pet owners, we know the value, enjoyment, and overwhelming love that a puppy can bring into a home. We aim to change lives by finding perfect homes for all of our puppies and doing so while glorifying His name, for we know that none of this is possible without Him. We are blessed in an abundance that we know we do not deserve. If we can get one person or family to start thinking more about Jesus in their lives, we feel we are completing our mission.

"And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would." -John 6:11

Who are we?

Five & Two Frenchies

Considering you’re thinking about making quite an investment in bringing home a new family member, you probably want to know about where your new puppy was raised.

We are what we consider to be your average family. Tara, a work-from-home mama of four, loves to cook and keep all the bellies in the house full. Growing up in northern Georgia, she was nicknamed “Ellie May” (Beverly Hillbillies) because she always had some sort of animal around her, whether it be dogs, ducks, rabbits, chickens, pigs, goats, horses, sugar gliders… you name it, she probably had it. Gracie was a Boston Terrier Tara’s dad had given her as a present when she was fifteen after he confused Boston Terriers with French Bulldogs, the kind of dog Tara truly wanted (in writing this, we are thinking price may have played a factor in Tara’s dad’s “confusion).” Gracie quickly became Tara’s sidekick, stealing her heart and going everywhere with her. Gracie lived a full and exciting 12 years of life until she sadly passed in 2016. It is through Gracie that we know what a “pet” can do to a family’s heart. They are more than just an animal. They become a part of the family and there is true grieving that takes place when they leave this Earth (Tara is crying, reminiscing of Gracie as this is being written). Gracie caused Tara’s family to switch from breeding poodles to Boston Terriers, which led to Gracie having a few litters of puppies. Seeing Gracie’s puppies sparked Tara’s interest in breeding on her own in the future.

Anthony grew up in Miami, FL and then went to school and started his career in event production and management in Gainesville, FL (Go Gators!). Growing up, Anthony never had anything larger than a hamster. His career path led him to Athens, GA where he met Tara and they began their life together. After a brief break from breeding when she had moved to Athens, they agreed it would be a great idea to start breeding again and Five & Two Frenchies was born.

Crazy enough, Five & Two started with six, yes six, Frenchies in a 900 sq ft 3rd-floor apartment. This consisted of daily walks outside, two at a time, at least three times a day. We are proud to say we got our security deposit back with no damage to any of the apartment and no animal smell issues!

A switch to a career in law enforcement for Anthony brought everyone to Gallatin, TN. Here, we built a room for Five & Two Frenchies. We enclosed it all, put in french doors, ran air conditioning/heating ducts to the room, installed a sink, washer, and dryer, and made many more changes to the room to make it a great space for our dogs.

This is where Five & Two truly grew to what we have today. We are proud to raise these Frenchies and provide long-lasting family members to families across the country. Our puppies have gone to new homes as far north as Massachusetts, as far west as California, as far east as North Carolina, and as far south as Miami, FL!

In 2021, we moved to Knoxville, TN, and have quickly grown to call it “home.” We are planting roots here and hope you get the chance to see us to pick up your puppy!

That’s a little about Five & Two! We hope you have a blessed day!
